Dubai is the second largest city in the United Arab Emirates and probably the most well known and vibrant cities in the Middle East. |
| |
Dubai has a year round sunny climate with rain a very rare occurance, happening only a few times a year. The winter months (November to March) are the most suitable for tourists, with the weather averaging a pleasant 30C and humidity on the low side. |

Airport Dubai International Airport has undergone a US$40 million
expansion with new facilities such as a spa, a business centre, a five star hotel
and an expansion on the duty free complex to make it one of the largest in the world.
Buses run to and from Dubai International Airport to Deira bus station about every
20 minutes. Metered taxis, which are beige in colour, also operate at the airport. |
|
Getting Around Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced.
Taxis on stands at hotels are are generally more expensive than those hailed on
the street, so always agree a price in advance. Buses run from both the Deira
and Bur Dubai bus station through the city on a regular basis. Older parts of Dubai
are probably best seen on foot. |
|
Attractions There are many attractions such as Souks, the Dubai
Museum, the Dubai Creek and the Grand Mosque providing a flavour of both modern
